When send an email to all members the system responds after a while and tells me there was an error sending.
If I check my own inbox I find the message was in fact sent. Anyone know why this is happening, and if the email has been sent to all members, not just me. Richard
Could you tell us which functionality you used? Is it the custom email or the “Notify members” action ?
Hi, I think I am having the same problems. I use the function “notify members” to remind them when the next dojo is coming up and I am being told by parents they are not receiving the email.
We’ve deployed a fix regarding email templates yesterday.
Not sure that covers your issue, but we’ll keep monitoring issues regarding emailing.
@Guillaume-Feliciano I am using the My Dojos, Manage Users, Send Email facility. I have just sent another email and received the same error. I am on the mailing list and received an email despite the error but don’t know if all or some users received it.

I’d be interested in knowing if you sent to all users or if you did a filtering previous to it?
My idea is that it simplies timed out (too slow to respond) while still doing the job. If that’s the case that you sent it to all users, i’ll look into reproducing it.

@Guillaume-Feliciano I sent the email to all users, currently 77.
I’ll try to replicate it with as many emails; but my belief is that there is no “issue” : all emails should have been sent.
Confusing, very certainly and we’ll look for a way to avoid this error message showing wrongly.
I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue locally, but i’ve been logging some possible improvement regarding this functionnality (https://github.com/CoderDojo/community-platform/issues/1219)
I’d be nice to tell if you encounter this issue again next time you send an email, to see if this is consistent over the production environment (zen.coderdojo.com) or not so that we can definitely dig over production configuration rather than my simple expectation
@Guillaume-Feliciano I shan’t be sending any emails until next week but will update you when I do. The problem has been occurring consistently for a while but unfortunately I can’t say when it first happened.
