We’ve had some feedback over the last couple weeks about the necessity to bring back the ability to join a Dojo so parents/attendees can get updates from Champions about upcoming events. We’ve heard our users, and bumped the priority on this right to the top. We’ve now pushed it live so you or your Dojo’s attendees can utilise it again.
Due to the timing of its release, there are some caveats:
We will be continuing to improve upon this in the coming weeks, such as hooking it up to a login/registration flow for non-logged in users.
Sorry for the delay on this, we hit a few bumps along the way, but we’ve been able to improve our tests to be more reliable as a result.
As you may be aware we’re focused on security through strictly managing permissions.
Recently a restriction on permissions made the navigation of “Manage events” triggering some “error loading applications”.
We were made aware of this thanks to a Community member reporting it to us.
It is now fixed now. Please let us know if you find anything else. We really appriciate your help.
Not a Zen Platform issue, but the CoderDojo website (coderdojo.com) will be undergoing maintenance in the next hour & is expected to be offline until 12am GMT at the latest.
Our resources site Kata (kata.coderdojo.com) will also be down for maintenance for a short time this afternoon/evening.
The Zen platform (zen.coderdojo.com) will not be affected and neither will these forums.
For more info follow updates here or on our twitter.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
All our sites are back up and running after a much quicker maintenance than expected.
Thanks for your patience.
We’re currently facing an instability issue due to an issue in our architecture.
We’re working on it and should have, in worst case scenario, a temporary fix by the end of week.
Zen should be usable for most scenarios, but if you encounter a difficulty, don’t be afraid to try again a few minutes after.
Sorry about that,
Small update :
We stabilised a part of the platform but are still experiencing issues. We have found differences in how the platform behaves between our test environment and our production environment and are trying to identify what is generating this difference.
Hopefully it shouldn’t take too long If you have any issues please let us know.
Finally, the instability issue has been found out. For those curious, it was about how we consider our microservices to be “ready” for requests : if the microservice was considered ready when not fully started, it would drop the request.
That’s now fixed, mostly thanks to @Daniel-Brierton and @Cian-Butler :- ))
We recently discovered an issue in Zen related to Dojo invitations. Email addresses were accidentally being removed from invites, resulting in users not being able to accept them.
We have now fixed this issue, however we were not able to fix currently broken invites. If you have been having issues with users accepting invites, please try sending new invites again.
We apologise for the inconvenience. If you have any other issues or suggestions on how we can improve, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Thanks @Joe-Molloy for finding that out!
Looks like your connection to CoderDojo Forum was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
