Can I assume the parents would usually set up the child or do champions add all youths (under 13) in their Dojo?

@Nuala-Nic-Éil Is this because I am a champion and if so do I need to change my profile to a Parent/Guardian or create a new one as a parent/guardian?
@Marie-Byrne You should be able to add a child to your profile as shown in the video regardless of your account type (parent, mentor,champion). Can you send a screen shot if this is not the case?
Currently you need to have the child added to your account before you join the Dojo for them to automatically join when you do. If you need to add them to your Dojo after you are a member of said Dojo you will need to email @Guillaume-Feliciano at firstname.lastname@example.org and he can add your child manually. You will then be able to award them badges.

So for my son I contact your colleague.
For all other under 13s in our dojo the parents need to register/join our Dojo and ensure they add their kid(s) at this point?
@Marie-Byrne Yes, so when parents click to Join the Dojo they will be asked to register. When they are registering they should add their children at that time. Then it will automatically add them as parents and their children as youths attending the Dojo.
I suggest when parents ask about joining the Dojo you send them a link to the video. You could also play the video at your Dojo and explain it to parents so they know that it is necessary in order for their children to be awarded badges.

@Marie-Byrne Ah! I see. You need to click on the settings cog on the right hand side when you are on your profile page. Click Edit profile, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the type of youth you wish to add.
Let me know if you have any problem doing this
That’s something we discussed with @Rosa-Langhammer which was to change “my profile” link to redirect from what we have actually (“view my profile”) to “edit-my-profile”.
We probably want more feedback on this, but that’s an example of issue for this workflow, yep
