We've been running a very successful DoJo in California built mainly on the power of a few parents. We want to find out what we can about employing teachers to make sure that it's sustainable and free to participants. Has anyone experience here? Are there grants out there that people have used? What other ways have people used to pay for a) rental space b) staffing c) computer rental/purchase?
getting a local business to help out via benefit in kind donations is alot easier to sell than getting cold hard cash. Paying teachers is a hard use of money to sell.
Hi @John, How have you been getting on? I seen this article about funding STEM and Maker groups that I thought might be useful for you and other Dojos. It is US orientated but the sentiment applies elsewhere as well.
